Apparently, Huawei is working on a new tablet and it looks a lot like a iPad Pro, as shown by 91Mobile’s (via Android Central) filtered renderings. The biggest difference seems to be their cameras:
The Huawei tablet seems to have a reversing camera with two lenses and a penetrating screen on which a front camera is located. In fact, it’s the second device we’ve made in China today that has a great Apple base: The new Xiaomi smartwatch is very similar to an Apple Watch.
The new Huawei tablet could even adopt Apple’s “Pro” nomenclature: The serial Evan-Blass filter is called Huawei MatePad Pro.
The tablet seems to have a magnetic keyboard case like the Apple Smart Keyboard Folio, but we do not know if the case will be included in the package. There also seems to be a new stylus sticking to the top of the tablet, possibly with magnets like the Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro.
91 Mobiles notes that these appear to indicate that the tablet does not have a fingerprint sensor. Therefore, Huawei may use a fingerprint sensor on the screen or some kind of facial authentication technology.
According to 91Mobiles, the tablet can boast “flagship-class specifications” with a Kirin 990 SoC (Huawei’s latest and fastest processor, which also has a built-in 5G modem), up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of RAM and “a big battery.” The previous Huawei tablet, the MediaPad M6, was released last June.
